Chris Moffett

As Vice President of Portfolio Maintenance Operations, Mr. Moffett is responsible for all aspects of our Maintenance program.

Mr. Moffett has over 24 years of experience in multiple facets of facilities maintenance and the HVAC trade. This has included working in multi-family, commercial HVAC, as well as retirement, assisted living, nursing, and memory care facilities.


Mr. Moffett joins Middleburg Communities after 7 years at Greystar, most of which were as a Regional Maintenance Manager. He was responsible for up to 80 properties at a time. These properties included all classes of assets, as well as due diligence on acquisitions and transitioning new developments to operations. He was promoted to this regional position after only a year as an on-site Maintenance Manager with them.

Mr. Moffett has a special focus on training and leadership development, which carried over to his co-founding the A.C.C.E.S.S. program in Charlotte which offers vocational training to high school students - eventually leading to a CAMT designation for the participants. This program has been nominated for a national award for NAA.

Additionally, Mr. Moffett is a very active in the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association with distinctions such as being awarded Volunteer of the Year (2019), acceptance into the prestigious Leadership Lyceum program, and co-founding their Diversity and Inclusion Task Force. He has also been a speaker at NAA.
