FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (March 1, 2016) – Middleburg Real Estate Partners is excited to announce the addition of Matthew Evans as a Partner and State Director for Tennessee. Mr. Evans will manage the Nashville office and be responsible for all development and acquisition activities in Tennessee.
“We are very excited to enhance our local presence in Nashville with an experienced developer to execute our investment strategy”, says Chris Finlay, Managing Partner.
Middleburg’s strategy is centered on providing high quality rental housing that caters to a broader spectrum of affordability. Our selected sites offer unique, difficult to replicate attributes including walkable retail, close proximity to major employers, and/or outstanding accessibility.
“I am happy to be returning home to Nashville to lead Middleburg’s efforts here locally. Middleburg’s strategy fits well with my experience and the need for quality rental housing in Nashville,” stated Mr. Evans.
Before joining Middleburg, Mr. Evans, was a Development Manager with Arlington Properties in Birmingham, Alabama, where his team developed over 3,700 Class A multifamily units throughout the Southeast, valued at over $661 million. In this role, Mr. Evans over saw each phase of the development process from site selection through stabilized project disposition.
Prior to Arlington Properties, Mr. Evans worked for a Clearwater, Florida based developer, where he concentrated on financial analysis and design for a master planned community to include hotel, retail, office and residential uses.
Mr. Evans holds a Masters of Real Estate Development and a Bachelor’s of Science in Financial Management from Clemson University. He is a LEED Green Associate, a member of Urban Land Institute, and is a National Multifamily Housing Council Emerging Leader.
