Virginia-based developer and investor Middleburg, with joint venture partner, The Mattoni Group, has acquired and begun construction of Mosby University City, a 309-unit luxury, multifamily apartment community in Charlotte, NC. The transit-oriented development is located on North Tryon Road, directly across from the newly opened University City Boulevard light rail station on the LYNX Blue Line Extension that provides residents convenient and quick access to Uptown Charlotte (20 minutes) and UNC Charlotte (5 minutes). Mosby University City is expected to be welcoming its first residents in December 2020.
“Mosby University City responds to Charlotte’s master plan to increase the availability of transit-oriented development in the University Area, which is the Charlotte metro area’s second largest employment center,” said Middleburg Managing Partner, Chris Finlay. “Developing this community within steps of light rail and abundant future amenities boosts the availability of walkable apartments in a region experiencing very strong job growth and a lack of supply for this product.”
Mosby University City will be comprised of four, five-story apartment buildings featuring:
