Middleburg Communities welcomes new team members, Steve Farmartino (Development Manager), Chris Moffett (Vice President of Portfolio Maintenance Operations) and Jason Pfister (Vice President, Land Entitlements).
Steve Farmartino joins Middleburg Communities as Development Manager, based in the company’s Charleston, SC office. Mr. Farmartino has more than six years of experience providing civil engineering consulting services in Charlotte, NC, where he specialized in the site design, permitting and construction administration for residential and commercial projects. Mr. Farmartino received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a focus on land development and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of North Carolina.
As Vice President of Portfolio Maintenance Operations, Chris Moffett is responsible for all aspects of Middleburg’s Maintenance program. Mr. Moffett has over 24 years of experience in multiple facets of facilities maintenance and the HVAC trade. This has included working in multi-family, commercial HVAC, as well as retirement, assisted living, nursing, and memory care facilities. Mr. Moffett joins Middleburg Communities after seven years at Greystar, most of which was as a Regional Maintenance Manager. Mr. Moffett is very active in the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association and graduated from their prestigious Leadership Lyceum program
As Vice President, Land Entitlements, Jason Pfister is responsible for managing the land entitlement process of each development opportunity undertaken by the company and is based in the company’s Raleigh, NC office. These responsibilities include: developing comprehensive and site-specific strategies to achieve entitlement approvals, interfacing with elected officials, planning professionals and stakeholders, creating and managing entitlement budgets and approval schedules in coordination with the rest of the development team, and representing the company at required municipal, zoning and neighborhood meetings. Mr. Pfister earned his Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law and, prior to joining Middleburg, he practiced law in Raleigh, representing clients in various commercial real estate, land use and litigation matters.
